The advisory committee of the "Social ecological research" programme provides advice to the BMBF concerning the thematic and structural shape of the funding programme and is significantly involved in the development of new research methods and criteria.
The funding programme "Social ecological research" breaks new ground in project funding and social, ecological and economic issues are investigated by combining social and natural scientific methods in an unusual way.
This approach requires new methods of topic search as well as new criteria of evaluation, communication and quality management.
